The Challenge
A comprehensive assessment was needed of its grab sample stations to identify opportunities to improve personnel safety, environmental compliance, reliability and standardization.

The Solution
We evaluated each identified sample station, documenting configurations and operating practices and assessing stations against Marathon Mandan’s grab sample standard. The evaluation also identified opportunities for improvement and potential standard configurations.

The Challenge
Our customer identified newly installed hydrogen tubing that was not rated for gas service, creating a need to verify the condition of the installation and assess potential safety and reliability concerns.

The Solution
Swagelok conducted an on-site evaluation of the hydrogen system to verify the condition of the new tubing and identify additional areas requiring attention.

The Results

• Confirmed no leaks at the newly installed ½-inch tubing connections during the assessment
• Identified leaks concentrated around the LFL Analyzer/Oven area
• Identified significant vibration contributing to potential fitting leakage and premature failures
• Identified opportunities related to component compatibility, material selection, tubing support and system configuration

The Outcome
The customer received objective verification of the newly installed tubing condition along with recommendations to address additional safety and reliability risks. The findings provide a proactive path to reduce leak potential, improve component life and strengthen overall hydrogen system safety and compliance.
